Praise Day!

What a great day!  I just KNEW God heard many prayers for Stephanie’s healing yesterday.  She looked so yucky for the past 4-5 days, and today she woke up looking like herself again!  We just knew she would!  We were kind of waiting around, spying to see what God had done.  All day I have been praising Him and thanking Him and just plain enjoying being with Him!  It’s just so very COOL to have a relationship with THE God of all creation!

Our own Slidewaters!

Talk about a change in the weather…  rainy season is here!  Yesterday we walked a minute up the river from the bridge Wenatchee built last year and had our own little version of Slidewaters (minus the crowds and the lines).  Rain fell for most of the night and part of the morning, and the river is up!  We walked around and found an old “slipper,” aka flip flop (single broken shoes litter the area), and cut it to different pieces.  Each of us claimed a shape and wrote our name on it with a Sharpie and we were off to the boat races.  It was cool enough that our Fulani friends got the chills.  It was the perfect temperature for me to just sit and watch the boys play.  I guess I am a fair weather missionary.  There was an S in the river the boys could lie down in and be carried along feet first, around the corner and over a little slide.  The swimming hole was just deep enough to cannon ball into.  Great fun!

Thanks, Silas!

A great big thank you goes out to Silas, our computer technical assistant!  He has it set up to where we can just email in a blog post or picture.  Perhaps we can better include you in our lives now…  We don’t want to overwork him, after all!
