Women's Day

We planned and practiced for weeks. We had the uniforms tailored (church
groups do that on Women's Day all over Nigeria). We ordered the church
gift. We cooked up rice, meat, and salad. I got up at 5:30 and prepared
food for a while. And then I got sick and missed the actual Women's Day
service. The nice thing about where my pillow is, however, is that I really
didn't miss a thing. Lying in bed with earplugs, I heard at least 95% of
the service. I even shouted an "Amen" or two from my bed. A few minutes
after everyone finished eating, they came in to my room and prayed for me.
I was really fine by that time, but didn't want to do dishes. Just kidding.
